We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to a very generous donor, we have wrapped physical production on Open Secret and move into editing.
We are closing out an exhaustive, five-year investigative journey, finally ready to reveal what we uncovered. It has fundamentally changed the way we view our educational institutions and the blind trust we placed in those who work in and around their confines, especially those charged with protecting children. We believe it will change yours too.

Below's clip from Open Secret is attorney, Faith Fox of the Cochran Law Offices in Charlotte, (herself a mother), who was staggered by the solution New Hanover County Schools introduced after her client's allegations were corroborated.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a small team of dedicated filmmakers from around the United States. We were invited into New Hanover County by local residents to investigate allegations of corruption and intimidation that date back decades, leaving families traumatized.
Film has the power to change the world. Meet some of New Hanover County's courageous residents, elected officials, teachers, parents, journalists and historians along with global experts who contributed to our film’s narrative, as they relay their own stories and try to make sense of what happened.

A note from our Director:
First of all, thank you so much for considering donating to our film, Open Secret.
I started filming Open Secret five years ago with a small crew of passionate filmmakers. What we uncovered fundamentally changed the way we view our educational institutions and forced us to reevaluate the implicit trust we place in those who work in them. Especially those charged with protecting children. We believe it will force you to question yours too.
We follow a handful of New Hanover County residents who unite to challenge generational, powerful, yet corrupt systems, and reveal those who enabled multiple predators to permeate their school district for generations. It's an inspirational journey of courage - and a community rising.
Open Secret reveals how corruption bleeds from one entity to another until the entire system is broken - and how self-preservation and fear keeps EVERYONE quiet while children suffer. But what if there was a road map back to safe learning environments for children? We can provide one.
What we expose in Open Secret WILL prevent predators from walking the halls of schools and save a child from abuse.
With you on our team - we'll be able to bring this film to audiences this summer.
