HELP US RAISE AWARNESS ABOUT THE DANGERS OF HAZING
Category: Short film

Director and Screenwriter: Jacob Seltzer
The Lonely Dog, a mission-driven short film inspired by true events, tells the story of a charismatic, relatable college freshman, who enthusiastically joins a fraternity only to be pressured into months of demeaning, relentless, and time-consuming pledge tasks which take a toll on him emotionally, physically, and ultimately tragically.
The film, which was launched during National Hazing Prevention Week, is designed to generate discussion about what constitutes hazing, why members feel so much pressure to participate, and what can be done to stop this dangerous, antiquated tradition. The Forever Forward Project has partnered with The University of Virginia’s antihazing nonprofit The Gordie Center to promote The Lonely Dog on their website and make it available free-of-charge for teachers, educators, and students.
The Forever Forward Project is continuing its mission to raise awareness about the prevalence and dangers of hazing through an Impact Campaign. With this campaign, we intend to promote and support viewings of The Lonely Dog at college and high school campuses, film festivals, and select screenings nationwide.
