In the wild 1920s West, two female lovers grapple with a violent incident that forces them to ask - what happens when those we love betray us?

A DISTURBANCE IN THE HIGH DESERT is a dramatic short western film that tells the story of two women trying to love and protect each other through one of the hardest conversations two people could have. We witness them navigate both tenderness and anguish as they confront brutal realities and forces beyond their control. They show us what it can mean to be more brave in the ways we listen and learn. They show us that hard conversations are not only possible, but necessary, if we are committed to finding peace and justice in our world where everyone is someone’s loved one.
