Logline: Meet the woman giving a voice to millions. An investigation into the blocking of the passage of Erin’s Law in several states reveals the uncalculated costs of child sexual abuse to individuals and society, and the negligence of legislators failing to protect America’s children.

Synopsis: Her world was turned upside down as a child when she was abused by two different perpetrators. Learning her sister was also being abused compelled her to speak up. Today, Erin Merryn is an author, activist, speaker and mother who will stop at nothing to protect children from experiencing the same kinds of trauma she can never fully forget.

But 15 years into advocating for Erin’s Law, which mandate that schools teach kids about body safety - 12 states still haven’t passed it.

What’s stopping them? And what’s the cost of the shame, stigma and silence around child sexual abuse that continues to enable it at shocking rates?

From being featured on Oprah, Katie Couric and People Magazine, to voted Glamour “Woman of the Year,” Erin's journey is a powerful and profound story of overcoming adversity, of possibility, and of reclaiming personal power.
