As a filmmaker hailing from Utah, Celene Beth Olsen shared a common thread with many locals: a personal connection to Ted Bundy. This connection fueled her desire to tell a different story.

Over the past seven years, we've seen countless Bundy documentaries and films flooding streaming services and cable networks, but they often repeat the same dialogue, timelines, and contributors, merely rehashing Bundy's narrative. As a young filmmaker in 2017, Celene Beth started on her first documentary feature and felt a deep responsibility to take a different approach. She wanted to shine a light on the individuals whose lives were directly affected by Bundy's actions- those whose stories have been overshadowed by the Bundy craze.

Through K*lling Theodore, we aim to ensure that the audience remembers these individuals amidst the saturation of media coverage. By sharing their stories, we offer a fresh perspective and a more comprehensive understanding of the events that unfolded- on their terms.
