The Sovereign Portuguese Art Prize is a premier annual event that celebrates the best in contemporary art from Portugal, combining cultural prestige with philanthropic impact. Our dual mission is:

- To bring the proven benefits of expressive arts to disadvantaged children
The Sovereign Portuguese Art Prize presents 30 shortlisted artists, nominated by leading professionals, in a high-profile public exhibition held at one of Lisbon’s most respected art institutions.
Proceeds from the sale of artworks support both the artists and expressive arts programmes for vulnerable children in Portugal.
Since its inception, SAF has raised nearly US$14 million, launched art prizes across Asia, Africa, and Europe, and supported over 20,000 children through therapeutic arts programmes.
