Freak Out is a monthly variety series celebrating its 8th anniversary at the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City. It was conceived by Francesco Paladino with the mission to broaden the opportunities for the queer community while celebrating overlooked creative genres. It is the longest running, monthly variety series in New York City. And now FREAK OUT NJ is the franchise and continues to uphold the mission of celebrating diverse and marginalized artists. We are really experiencing a movement right now. This series embraces avant garde performance art, drag performers, musicians, magicians, comedians, storytellers, and every live experience on the planet. Freak Out NJ is a safe space for artists who traditionally don’t have a stage to stand on and/or struggle to be seen, heard, and accepted by the entertainment industry and standard popular culture.
