JOIN US IN SUPPORTING THE ARTISTS BUILDING A BETTER WORLD THROUGH SONG
Lets Turn Songs Into Medicine for the World.
Why the Writing Camp was created:
As an artist, I’ve felt how exhausting it can be to hold the weight of the world and still try to create. I also know that music isn’t just sound—it’s medicine. It heals. It inspires. It drives change.
This belief is what led me to create The Well Writing Camp,in partnership with Resonant Roots and A Cosmic Bridge - a space for artists to rest, reconnect, and create songs that serve both personal healing and collective transformation.
In 2025, I was honored to receive the Harry Belafonte Best Song for Social Change Award at the Grammys. That recognition wasn’t just for a song—it was for a mission: to use music as a tool for healing, storytelling, and impact.
The Well Writing Camp is a living extension of that mission.
Our camp is grounded in three goals:
- Restore the Artist: Create space for rest, grounding, and wellness so that artists can reconnect to their creative power.
- Create Music with Meaning: Support artists in writing and recording songs that reflect their truth, their healing, and their message for the world.
- Fuel Community Impact: Release this music with an impact-driven model where proceeds support charitable initiatives like food equity, climate justice, and community resilience.
Our partnership model is uniquely designed to bridge creativity, activism, and cultural influence.
We work alongside exceptional collaborators in the music industry, education, activism, and media, including Harry and Gina Belafonte’s Sankofa.org, A Cosmic Bridge, Resonant Roots, and Kathy Eldon’s Creative Visions. Together, we are creating an ecosystem where art and impact meet.
Your donation makes this possible:
💧 $50 nourishes an artist for a day in the camp.
🎧 $150 supports studio time, instruments, and creative resources.
$500 covers a full day of healing, writing, and community.
🌍 $1,000+ fully sponsors an artist’s experience—from the writing room to music release—fueling a song that raises funds for charitable organizations.
When we fill the well for artists, they pour something powerful back into the world.
