UNBECOMING's Fundraiser
The Loneliness Cure We're All Looking For
A storytelling-driven incubator using human connection and ethical technology to heal disconnection from the inside out.
Born from a TEDx talk and a one-woman show that kept filling rooms, UNBECOMING is now becoming a global container for healing disconnection through story, community, and ethical technology.
What this project is
UNBECOMING started as a deeply personal TEDx talk and evolved into a genre-defying solo show about trauma, lineage, and finding our way back to ourselves and each other. In every city, something unmistakable happened: people stayed after, lined up, and shared their own stories. The show stopped being “just” a performance and became a gathering—a safe container where shame softened, loneliness cracked, and strangers remembered they weren’t alone.
From those rooms, a bigger vision emerged:
- Curated community “containers” where people connect with each other through story-driven engagement experiences.
- An interactive entertainment model piloted in London, fusing performance, workshops, and community circles.
- An ethical AI prototype trained on real, consent-based healing journeys to support people between gatherings—extending human connection, not replacing it.
Why it matters right now
We’re living through a global crisis of disconnection. The WHO now calls loneliness a major health threat, impacting 1 in 6 people worldwide and contributing to hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. At the same time, over 1 billion people live with mental health conditions, most without adequate support.
Digital tools promised connection but often leave us more isolated. Research shows that sharing our stories in safe, supported spaces can reduce stigma, soften shame, and improve attitudes toward getting help. UNBECOMING is building a living bridge between that ancient medicine—storytelling—and the technologies shaping our future.
What your support creates in 2026
This initial $50,000 raise funds the foundation of the entire ecosystem:
- London Pilot at St. Ethelburga’s (Spring 2026)
A one-week micro-festival during their Spiritual Ecology Festival: one performance of UNBECOMING, expert-led conversations, and community activation circles—our first official “lab” for this work. - Curated story containers & gatherings
A year of intimate circles and workshops in London, Bali, and beyond, where participants can safely share, connect, and begin to heal disconnection in real time. - Data for the first ethical AI prototype
With informed consent, we’ll gather anonymized data patterns from these experiences—not harvesting content, but mapping emotional journeys and needs. That data becomes the seed for an AI tool designed to support human connection and mental health, not replace it. - Content capture & digital distribution
High-quality documentation from the London pilot and containers, so this story can travel globally and attract the next wave of partners and funders.
In simple terms: this first 50K turns a proven show into a living prototype—a model we can measure, refine, and eventually scale.
Why now
This is the next exciting chapter of a project that has already:
- Touched thousands of people through TEDx, global stages and impac masterminds.
- Proven, over and over, that when one person dares to tell the truth, a roomful of people feel less alone.
- Built relationships with influential leaders and impact-focused communities who are determined to provide better solutions.
