Kristin Juel spent three decades building brands for some of the world's biggest companies — Kaiser Permanente, TBWA, Nissan — before asking a harder question: what if that same rigor, that same data-driven strategy, belonged to independent artists? Independently Yours is the answer to that question. Born out of Juel Concepts and formalized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it is the program Kristin wished existed when she first started working with independent artists — a structured, funded, community-driven path to sustainable career independence. Not a platform promising empowerment while quietly extracting value. A real program, built on real data, with real outcomes for real artists.

The system is broken. Independent musicians represent the most innovative force in the music industry — the trendsetters, the originals, the artists the mainstream borrows from tomorrow. And yet three out of four of them say they feel completely alone. No community. No infrastructure. No safety net. Independently Yours exists because that is unacceptable. We are a nonprofit artist development program that provides independent musicians with what they should have had from the beginning — financial literacy, legal knowledge, brand strategy, media funding, industry access, and a community of peers who are building the future of music alongside them.

We do not sign artists. We do not take their masters. We do not extract.
We support. And when they win, the industry wins.
