Come along as Cloudy and Kite host a weekly national weather forecast

Every day, people watch or listen to weather forecasts to help them prepare for their day. But these weather programs are not suitable for the younger audience. They can be confusing, frightening, developmentally inappropriate, and counterproductive to making a child feel prepared and safe.

Cloudy and Kite’s Weather Forecast is a weekly national weather broadcast designed for preschool children and their families. Each week, Cloudy, (a cute little cumulus cloud) and her best friend Kite, travel over a map of the United States and guide children through the 7-day national weather forecast, focusing on current weather conditions with special attention to that week’s weather highlights. All the weather reporting will be scientifically accurate and up to date. Along the way Cloudy and Kite breakdown how different weather conditions occur, dispense helpful tips and guidelines, make new friends, and have fun.

Your contribution will enable preschool children to experience weather reporting in a way that is just for them. It will put meaning and understanding behind what they experience every day.
