An all ages music movement in Los Angeles

Backyard Party is building the all-ages music community Los Angeles has been missing, with real stages, real audiences, and real opportunities for young musicians.

Created after the Eaton Fire destroyed homes, schools, instruments, rehearsal spaces, and gathering places in our Altadena community, BYP has hosted more than 350 acts, paid and donated more than $12,000 to local bands and charitable organizations, and packed backyard shows and free Summer School classes every week since September '25.

We've earned national recognition in the press and the trust of local musicians, artists, schools, and community partners. Your donation helps us keep tickets affordable, pay artists and instructors, produce safe professional events, maintain our equipment, expand free workshops, and support the BYP Ticket Fund, which provides free admission to shows without requiring proof of hardship. This is already working. Your support helps us keep it growing.
