Based on the book Sousanna: The Lost Daughter - This is not just a story about one child, it's a story about thousands of children who have been separated from their family, culture, identity and faith due to war.

After World War II, five year old Sousanna was taken from her family in Greece and brought to America with the promise that she would receive an education and one day return home. She never did. Her name was changed, her language and culture began to disappear, and the family she left behind spent years wondering what had happened to her.

Her older brother Marios never stopped believing that one day they would find her again. His promise and Sousanna’s journey to reclaim her identity became the emotional heartbeat of this film.

We're making Sousanna because stories like hers deserve to be remembered. Through this film, we hope to honor the families who have experienced separation and displacement, explore the importance of knowing where we come from, and remind audiences that even after profound loss, it is possible to find your way home.
